Circle of Friends Annual Dinner & After Party

Our 17th Circle of Friends Annual Dinner at Chelsea Piers on April 27 was a smashing success. We had our largest attendance ever — more than 700 tickets sold! Together we raised $830,000 in support of our work with children and families, including $109,000 for our temporary residences for homeless teens. Thank you! Congratulations once again to our Legacy of Service Award winner, David Schwartz, and Corporate Award honorees Jim Blackley of Charter Communications and Nick Adamo, formerly of Cisco. Their dedication is truly remarkable.

See the Videos: Our Stories

We were proud to unveil three new videos focused on a few of the children and teens we serve. Attendees were spellbound by a performance by Esther, now a classical singer and music teacher who found herself homeless at 16 when her parents left the country. Click on the video at right to learn more about her incredible story; the other two videos — featuring Lloyd, a participant in our Canine R&R program, and Deedee, a resident of Victory House — will play immediately following.

If you were inspired by the stories of the children and volunteers at the dinner, we hope you’ll get involved. You can:

  • Volunteer (host a corporate game night, be a mentor, or teach a skill, etc.)
  • Visit one of our sites (we have locations in Harlem, Bronx, Queens, and Dobbs Ferry)
  • Join our mailing list

We’re so grateful for our sponsors!
