Inwood House

Established in 1830, Inwood House was for many years the only organization focused on providing comprehensive services to pregnant and parenting teens and on pregnancy prevention education in New York City. Inwood House merged with The Children’s Village in 2016 and the Inwood House programs are now part of “Inwood House at The Children’s Village.”

Pregnant/Parenting Teens

Sometimes parenting teens need a safe place to stay for a short time. Other times, they just want education and support as they strive to make a life for their new family.

Homeless Teens

Our shelter and transitional living programs help homeless girls get off the street, secure medical care and counseling, find permanent housing, and get on a path to independence.

Students

We work with students in New York City schools to provide pregnancy prevention education, help them become leaders, and help them make good decisions.

Impact

We're proud to say that Inwood House has a tremendous impact on the young women we work with, but hearing it in their own voices is truly inspiring.
