The Youth Employment Program – located at the Education and Employment Center – is here to give you positive opportunities to advance your education, career, and your life.

YEP helps young people, ages 14-20 years old,  who are not in school, have dropped out of school, have earned a high school diploma or GED, or are pursuing higher education. Youth may be in foster care or not, and unemployed or currently employed. The YEP offers:

  • Career & Occupational Assessment
  • Mentoring
  • Educational Counseling
  • Paid Training,
  • Paid Internships
  • Financial Literacy
  • Summer Employment

The YEP is an important platform which is intended to help reduce community gun violence and youth criminal justice involvement by providing paid internship opportunities. Workforce Development Academy for Youth is overseen by Westchester/Putnam Workforce Investment Board, funded by the Westchester/Putnam Workforce Investment Board.
