Healing Paws Haven: Our Renamed Grooming Program Formerly Paws for a Purpose

Healing Paws Haven, formerly known as Paws for a Purpose, is our newly renamed grooming program at The Children’s Village Dobbs Ferry Campus. While the name has changed, our mission remains the same: transforming the lives of youth and animals through compassion, structure, and hands-on learning.
Our Grooming Clinic is an extension of the Canine Rescue and Rehabilitation program, staffed by certified youth and dedicated volunteers. Together, they provide free grooming services to the local community while gaining valuable hands-on experience.
Through the Canine Rescue & Rehabilitation program, teens train rescue dogs, helping them learn basic skills and increasing their chances of finding loving homes. With the addition of our grooming program, youth now have the opportunity to build a grooming portfolio, preparing them for future employment in animal care.
