Teen Choice and National Stop Bullying Day
The Children’s Village Teen Choice program promotes healthy relationships and consent education in over 35 NYC middle and high schools, with full-time staff in six schools.
In honor of National Bullying Prevention Month, Teen Choice partnered with the High School of Fashion Industries to lead an interactive event, where students shared personal experiences and learned about the impact of bullying.
“Our goal was to encourage positive dialogue and help students see the power of kindness,” said Tavia Jackson, Division Director of Teen Choice.
With resources like in-hallway displays, QR coded guides, pins with positive affirmations, and staff with an open door, Teen Choice ensures students have easy access to support. Building on the success of this event, the team led an initiative on World Kindness Week this November, and is excited to lead future initiatives on Teen Dating Violence Awareness this February, and more.
