David Schwartz

Mr. Schwartz was elected to the Board in 2014.  He is a graduate of Amherst College and has an MA degree from Teachers College, Columbia.  Schwartz is retired following a 40 year career as a secondary school teacher and administrator, most of it at the Ethical Culture Fieldston School.  He was a member of the Dobbs Ferry Board of Education from 1976-1982 and President for one year, and he was a member of the Southern Westchester BOCES Board of Education from 1983-1985.  He is at present Vice-Chair of the Westchester-Putnam Working Families Party, Chair of the Children’s Village Community Advisory Committee, a volunteer in the CV In-kind gifts program, and a tutor in the Greenburgh 11 school.
